Dan is createor of The MASTERY of Self Expression Program in Los Angeles, Leadership and Creativity, The Abyss and Samarai. Dan founded The Actors Institute, a school for professional actors, in 1975. Within ten years, the Institute grew to include branches in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Vancouver, Austin, Montreal, Toronto, London, Bristol, Paris, and several cities in Israel. Dan and the Institute then branched off into producing. Their first production was Looking Glass, a play about Lewis Carroll. Dan then partnered with Ted Danson, and in two years produced three movies for televison: When The Bough Breaks (NBC), We Are The Children (ABC), and Follow Your Heart (which Dan co-wrote for NBC), and the series Down Home with Judith Ivey (NBC).

After four years as an independent producer, Dan went to work for Paramount Pictures, heading comedy development. Over the next twelve years he oversaw the development of over 100 comedy pilots, half of which went to series. The most successful was Frasier, winning five Emmys for best comedy. Other shows he developed were Becker, Clueless, Girlfriends, Lateline and Sister, Sister.

Since leaving Paramount, Dan has written a feature film, had a show of his photographs and collages at a Los Angeles gallery, and is in the midst of directing and producing a series called Lightfoot & Lee. Dan is currently working on a book on creativity and acting, a novel, leading the MASTERY Program in L.A., and preparing for another art show.

After graduating with a degree in Broadcast Journalism she made the leap from local news to network prime time and to date, has produced over 185 hours of television for NBC, ABC, BRAVO, MTV, VH1, OWN, LIFETIME, and OXYGEN to name a few.

From NBC’s “The Biggest Loser,” to the fashion sensation “Project Runway All Stars” on Lifetime wrangling the likes of Pharrell, Diane von Furstenberg, her range knows no boundaries.

When not appearing on TMZ escorting a celebrity, Jill spends her time developing a slate of TV projects coming soon to a channel near you.

Mark DeGasperi

Mark DeGasperi is Executive Director of Media Development International. He has worked as a writer, script doctor and professional story analyst in New York for twenty years, reading screenplays, plays and books for film and TV adaptation, most recently for Sony Pictures Entertainment, Tribeca Productions, Paramount Pictures and Odyssey Networks. He has covered and scouted movie material for Universal Pictures, New Line Cinema, Miramax, the William Morris Agency (WME/IMG) and International Creative Management (ICM Partners). He has worked in production at ABC Television in New York. He teaches Advanced Screenwriting at New York University, and has received an NYU-SPS Award. He has taught the Master Class in Screenwriting at the School of Visual Arts. He is the Associate Producer of the 2015 feature environmental/human rights documentary shot in India, RESCUING THE STOLEN RIVER. His novel THE LAZARUS EXPERIMENT was published in 2014.
